CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
OUr class
Here at Athletic Edge, we don’t believe in cramming the room full of clients. All our classes are limited to 8 people, which allows us to properly coach each person in the group and provide individual feedback. This is how we get the most out of each client and in our opinion, it’s how coaching should be done!
Mobility
Are you struggling to get to full depth on your squats or unable to keep your elbows up during cleans? Our Mobility class is all about helping you loosen off your muscles and improve your range of movement.
Pilates
Our Pilates classes are taught by Violaine and correct technique is always the focus. She will walk
you through exercises to strengthen your core muscles while improving your posture.
Intermediate Pilates
This class is targeted towards clients that already have experience of Pilates. The movements and
techniques are more advanced. If you’re unsure of your level, then give us a call and we can help to
advise you.
Olympic lifting
Whether your completely new to Olympic Lifting or have been doing it for years, this is the class for
you. Our coaches can introduce you to the fundamentals, refine your technique and can even help
prepare you for competitions.
Learn to Lift
If you’re new to the gym, want an introduction to any of the equipment or need some advice on any
of your lifts, then book yourself into our Learn to Lift class. One of our trainers will be on hand to
answer all of your questions and help fix any issues with your technique.
Circuits
Our Circuits class is sure to get you working hard and having fun. During the class, the group will be
guided through a workout by one of our qualified coaches and introduced to a range of new
exercises. The class is designed to be intense and varied, while allowing participants to work at a
level that suits them.
Fit for life
This is a circuit-based class designed for over 60’s, which will help to improve your strength, mobility
and cardio-vascular fitness. You will be guided through a series of exercises and shown the correct
technique for each one. The intensity of this class can be adjusted by the participants to ensure
everyone is working at a suitable level.
