Germany, Heer. A Dress Bayonet Auction Archive Hellmuth Stieff (1901–1944) was a(Heer Bajonett). A well preserved Heer dress bayonet, measuring 405 mm in length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 260 mm long nickel plated magnetic metal blade with a sharpened tip and unsharpened edges. The blade has fullers on each side, and is wholly unmarked. It sits securely within the nickel plated upper crossguard, itself with hooked quillons, with the seam covered by a leather washer. The crossguard forms a one piece handle,
