Germany, Wehrmacht. A Close Combat Clasp, Silver Grade, by Hymmen & Co. consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac 58 mm (w) x 50(Nahkampfspange in Silber). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a square oak leaf wreath, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, overlaying a replacement magnetic iron backplate, flanked on each side by four rays and four oak leaves with two acorns, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch emanating from a circular plate,
